Funding Support from Ghana Climate University
Ghana Climate University Network (GCUN) envisages increasing the employability and successful entrepreneurship of students and recent graduates of the program through mentoring of startups and enhanced internships. This initiative will foster innovative climate change solutions through entrepreneurship while improving the creation of locally adapted solutions via training on Indigenous knowledge.
EnvironSafe Limited, functioning as an Environmental Compliance and Technology Startup, has successfully secured funding to enhance the deployment of AI for soil nutrient identification and improvement. This initiative aims to foster youth entrepreneurship within local communities and enhance farmers’ understanding of their soil conditions. The customized Artificial Intelligence mobile soil testing application, SoilDigiSERVE, provides innovative assistance to farmers by enabling them to identify soil textural classes and key nutrients on-site, eliminating the need to send samples to a laboratory. This advancement encourages innovation in soil type identification, soil textural classification, and enhances farmers’ knowledge while facilitating access to essential last-mile delivery support at the grassroots level. The ESL team expresses its sincere appreciation to the Ghana Climate University Network for the financial and managerial support provided to the team.
